While swimming and snorkeling at Kuleana, you can often encounter green sea turtles who live in this area. Please enjoy the turtle sighting at a distance. Humpback whales come to Maui in late November and stay here until April to give birth and nurture their little ones in Hawaii’s warm ocean water. Our guests can enjoy whale watching right from their condo balcony or from the oceanfront lawn. If you are planning to come to Kuleana from November to April, maybe bring a set of binoculars with you to observe the whale activity in more detail.

Our Kuleana 1-bedroom condo offers a full kitchen with all the appliances and amenities you might need to prepare your own meals. You can enjoy your breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and sunset wine on your private balcony or at the dining area inside the condo. There are 3 grocery stores nearby for your convenience: Farmers Market Maui - vegetarian market that offers local produce, delicious smoothie and acai bowls, and two large traditional supermarkets: Times and Napili Market.

Kuleana is conveniently located in Kahana between Kaanapali and Kapalua resort areas that offer championship golf courses, world-famous beaches, oceanfront shopping at the Whalers Village, hiking on Kapalua Coastal trail, Kaanapali Beachwalk, and the Kapalua Village Trails. Kaanapali, Kahana, and Kapalua offer surf spots for all levels. Historic Lahaina town is only 15 minutes away. Explore charming Front Street shops and restaurants. The Outlets of Maui mall is located in Lahaina town where you can do your shopping and have lunch at one of their oceanfront restaurants.

There is a large selection of restaurants near Kuleana, ranging from small casual eateries to high-end oceanfront restaurants. Some of the options include the newly opened Miss Arepa which offers Vanazuelan food, Sea House in Napili - oceanfront restaurant with delicious food, Maui Tacos that offers Mexican cuisine, Joey’s Kitchen and Fond that serve Filipino Hawaiian food. You might also enjoy Mama’s Ribs ‘N Rotisserie, Pizza Paradiso, a’a Roots - vegetarian restaurant, the Gazebo that is famous for its breakfast, Miso Phat - sushi restaurant, Cruzin’ Cafe, China Boat, and Merriman’s Kapalua.
