Maui Car Rentals
Maui and Lanai Car Rental Information
Currently there is a car rental shortage on Maui. If you decide to rent a car for your Maui trip, we highly recommend renting it in advance. Many Maui visitors now choose to take a shuttle from the airport to their condos and use alternative methods of transportation while staying on Maui.
Popular and reliable airport shuttle companies are Robers Hawaii and Speedi Shuttle. They could take you from the Kahului airport to your Maui Resort. Here on Maui we have Uber, Lyft, taxis, and Holoholo - a local Hawaiian ride share company.
Adventurous travelers enjoy renting e-bikes and go around West Maui on bicycles with electric assistance, making it easy for them to explore the hillside communities of Kaanapali and Kapalua.

Lanai Car Rentals
If you are planning a day trip to Lanai, you might be interested in renting a car there for your adventures. If you are planning an off-roading trip to the old Club Lanai or the Shipwreck beach, please rent a Jeep or a Truck. If you will be driving to the Cat Sanctuary, Lanai City, and Hulopoʻe Beach Park, then a Chevy Bold might be perfect for you.
Lanai Car Rentals is located in Lanai City. You can rent a Jeep Wrangler for 4-wheel drive off-roading, Chevy Bolt for exploring Lanai’s paved roads, or a Ford Transit minivan for a large group outing. After your Lanai Ferry trip, you will need to take a 15-minute taxi drive from the Manele Harbot to the car rental place. Please call or text our favorite Lanai Taxi driver Alberta in advance to make a reservation for the harbor pick up. Alberta De Jetley’s phone number: 808-649-0808. Alberta is a Lanai historian, writer, and a taxi driver.
Lanai Cheap Jeeps is also located in Lanai City and you will need a taxi drive from the harbor to get there (see above). There you can rent a 4-wheel drive Jeep or Truck for off-roading and safe eco-adventures. They provide guided tours if you prefer to go with a local guide.
