Nice ground level condo, a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Parking onsite tight but free and close to the unit. Nice pool and small sandy beach great for swimming and snorkeling and we even saw turtles. Well maintained gardens include a herb garden that we made use of. TV, WiFi and AC all worked.

Kahana Sunset is one of the nicest resorts. People are extremely friendly with a lot of repeat groups. Always fun for the guys at the barbecue pit. Maui is always a great experience. Lots to see and do, aside from the ocean activities. We had a great 14 days.

The only downside of this property is the continuing loss of the beach and some of the units are in desperate need of renovations. We are repeat guests.

Our 12 days in Maui were wonderful. The condo was very clean and comfortable for the three of us. The grounds and the beach were so beautiful. It was exciting to see the giant turtles swimming in the ocean around the reef from the observation patio. The parking was a bit challenging with small parking spaces.

We stayed in unit C1C at the Kahana Sunset for a week and had a fantastic time. The Kahana Sunset is a tasteful and well-kept 70s-80s era complex with an excellent location about 5-7 minutes from Ka'anapali (great snorkeling) and Lahaina. It is also a nice place to spend time in its own right: great views, great beach, modernized, well maintained and landscaped with up-to-date amenities. The adjacent beach out front is fantastic with calm, warm, crystal clear water close to shore and some interesting though not beautiful reef starting about 50 feet from shore. We saw lots of fish and a few sea turtles and it served as a very convenient home base to swim in the morning before heading out. The whole complex was fairly quiet and felt very secure; I had no problem leaving my stuff outside on the patio to dry overnight. My only minor complaint about the complex is that the hot tub has been converted into a part of the pool and is no longer kept hot. The unit itself was also pleasant: well maintained with newer fixtures and appliances, and comfortable furniture including the bed and sofa. The patio was useful, with clear and close ocean views; we ate breakfast and dinner on the patio quite a few times... take in a sunset here or walk 15 seconds down to the beach. It was also very clean. Only beefs with the condo itself were that 1) the maid did not come mid-week as suggested in the literature, 2) Terminix left a note on the door saying they'd come into our unit without prior notice and sprayed the baseboards (would have liked to have warning so I could put away food; not a big deal to me but if I had small children I would have been irked by this) and 3) would have been nice to have a few more useful cooking utensils. There is a great barbecue on-site but we had to improvise since there was no spatula in the unit. But, these are really small nits to pick for such a great value.

Amazing place. I loved this view and quiet place. A lot was blooming around. Everything clean, nice people around. There were no cockroaches which was important to us. The location is a little rainy, but at night it was always fresh and we didn't use the air conditioning.

We had a wonderful time. The couch was very uncomfortable . Everything concerning the rental was good. It was inconvenient to get to the patio, because of the sink hole. Please do not use my name

C1C is located in the quietest part of the Kahana Sunset resort. It is well appointed with its remodeled interior & private patio. We have been staying at this complex thru Sullivan Properties for almost 20 years. The customer service that Kari, Kelly, & Steve provide is the best.

As usual the Sullivan Team made it a home run. The condo was great. Really nicely laid out. Weather was perfect and we fully enjoyed ourselves. The only thing lots of people noticed is unattended kids this time. Kids get up early and mom and dad tell them go out and play. Several times it started at 06:00am. That's a little early Same as a huge sign that you cannot do this or that at the pool. No lifeguard. I felt sorry for the staff because no matter what people are throwing there kids in and parents are just doing the same. It drove families right out of the pool. I happened to talk to the Kahana Sunset Owners associations lady and she even asked me about it. Yes I replied I do notice it.She was very concerned because no matter how much the staff told them to stop they kept on doing it. This is no fault of Sullivan Properties. I cannot say enough good about them We have sent family and friends to them and they are all now return clients. It falls into the lap of the Resort. We will be back but probably in a less busy time. We will be back

Kahana Sunset was an awesome place to stay! You can tell that they take great pride in maintaining the looks of this beautiful property.

Perfect for a couple or small family. Quiet location in between Kahana and Napili. Manager was easy to work with, good communication.

This property is quiet, pretty, and very relaxing. This was such a nice stay and I loved that the community seemed small, pleasant, and quiet. Everyone from other people staying there to the property staff were very pleased and responsive to any concerns. It was great to walk out our door and down to the beach to swim, which had an added benefit of seeing turtles without having to fight a crowded beach. I would definitely go back to this property in the future.

We so enjoyed our stay here! The condo is nice and clean. It was a great place for our little boy (5). We will definitely rent again!

The location and grounds are absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed eating meals on the outdoor patio. The pool was well maintained and very pleasant place to lounge after a swim. When shade was necessary, the covered patio by the ocean was perfect. This unit is functional but the kitchen and bathroom are in need of upgrading. Kitchen needs more utensils (salad bowl, salad utensils, serving bowls, etc. Bathroom fixtures are past their best before date.

This was a lovely ground floor unit with one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Easy check in with code and ample parking close to the condo. We had everything we needed for a great stay. Linens, towels, beach chairs, floaties. The kitchen was a bit challenging with a hodge lodge of cookware but we had most of the necessities. There was no oven so we used the community BBQ’s. The rooms had fans and AC and our beds were comfortable The grounds and pool were meticulously kept by the pleasant staff. The beach and sunsets superb! This was our third stay here and hope to return.

3rd time staying at Kahana Sunset. Nice and quiet without too many people. Easy walk to beach and pool. Close to stores and restaurants.

Overall nice experience. Condo was great. Roomy, cool and comfortable. Only thing is that it was very difficult to contact owners. Never did.

It was lovely to walk into this condo with the AC on and the Hawaiian music channel playing! Since we had booked 8 months pre-pandemic, we had forgotten about the AC and the washer/dryer, which was a great amenity. We had also forgotten that there is no oven! So don't get a pizza, or plan to bake a birthday cake! A cleaning issue got a quick response. The ground-floor lanais are not as private as some complexes, but the grounds are exceptional. (If that one tree were pruned back, there would be a better ocean view...) Bathroom door could use a hook. The location is beautiful; we sometimes wished it was possible to take a morning walk to coffee - but walk down to the beachfront with your own coffee and enjoy the morning! We used the grill which was great, the pool is also well-maintained and the staff very helpful. Stake out your lounge chair early, as they get "saved" for the day and the number is limited. Aloha!

Our family, a young and old, have been coming to Kahana sunset for over twenty years now. It's a great place for Grandpa and Grandma, parents and young children.

We enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful vacation. We love Kahana Sunset and the beautiful coved beach, barbeque areas, the lanai. I think the price is a great rate for being in Maui. We loved having the air conditioning this time. Pat Sullivan brought us an air conditioner remote on a Sunday, service at it's best!

Kahana Sunset has a wide variety of units to choose from. Very well kept up, private sandy beach with fish and turtles. It is quiet, off the beaten path and within minutes of stores and activities. Great place to vacation with your family.
